Episode 23 - 06 May 2009

1) Standard Bank Auto Show – For those of you that missed the show, fortunately the WHEELS ON ONE team filmed the two day event. This week we bring you more footage and interviews.

 2) Road Test – Toyota Corolla 1.3 Optimal Drive - More than 32 million Corollas have been sold globally, entrenching it as the world’s top selling model. The WHEELS ON ONE team tested the new Corolla 1.3 with Toyota’s Optimal Drive engine technology.

3) Road Test – VW Touareg 3.0 TDi - South African Rally driver Giniel de Villiers, won this years Dakar rally in style with a VW Touareg. Our production team got their hands on the 3.0 TDI model for a road test.

4) Vasbyt - Simon van Zyl is a Namibian legend in 4X4 Vasbyt. The Wheels on One team had a chat to Simon and his son Tinus at the recent Windhoek Lager Day Night Vasbyt.

5) Tony Rust Race Track – Although some of the crowd pullers did not show up, Willie Dames in his Nissan GTR and Basil Smit in his BMW M6 surprised the crowd with their powerful vehicles.

Episode 22 - 29 April 2009

2)  Road Test – Mahindra Bolero Dropside. One of the first Indian pioneers to hit the local market, Mahindra has been going from strength to strength, gaining ground in several competitive segments.
3)  Road Test – The entry-level Hyundai Getz is great value for money and it is a looker too.
4)  BMW X5 - The WHEELS ON ONE team paid a visit to Amin Nambili from BH Motor spares and filmed his pimped up 2002 BMW X5 4.4i
5)  Nissan Skyline GT-R – Willie Dames took the WHEELS team for a drive in this thoroughbred Nissan Racer.
6) Three Tower 4x4 Excursion – We bring you more action with Frans Theron of 4X4 OFF-ROAD ACADEMY. Johan Jooste of the WHEELS ON ONE team filmed the journey.

Episode 21 - 22 April 2009

1) Drag Racing - Namibian motor enthusiast experienced some tyre burning action the 2nd leg of the National Drag Racing. The Puma 13B Rotary Turbo, a Twin Turbo’d Nissan Skyline GTR and an Ariel Atom 2000 were just a few of the high performance motors that made their way to the Air Strip.
2)  Road Test performed locally - The Indian Carmaker Tata, is gunning for the small budget segment that accounts for about 40% of the new car market. The WHEELS ON ONE team tested the Tata Indigo 1.4 GLX
3)  Road Test performed locally – With dramatically improved styling, impressive features and competitive pricing the new Hyundai Elantra is placed in a very competitive position in its segment.
4)  Launch BMW 7-Series - The WHEELS ON ONE team attended this glamorous event and spoke to Armand Barnard, Danric Auto`s Sales Manager.
5)  SWALLOWS RALLY – Three adventurous ladies from the Desert Wolves Motorcycle Club in Windhoek recently drove down to Cape Town on their own Superbikes to participate in the annual Swallows Rally.
6) Three Tower 4x4 Excursion - On 28thMarch the 4X4 OFF-ROAD ACADEMY organized a off-road trip visiting the three towers around Windhoek. Johan Jooste of the WHEELS ON ONE team filmed the journey.

Episode 20 - 15 April 2009

1)  DAKAR – Some exiting video material of Ingo Waldschmidt in the Dakar Rally and we have an exclusive interview with Ingo, his vision and plans.
2)  Road Test performed locally – The new Accent Hatch is a wonderful addition to the Accent stable. It appeals to a slightly different type of buyer in the Accent segment.
3)  Road Test performed locally – The South African-built Renault Sandero 5-door hatchback.
4)  Standard Bank Namibia`s  extremely popular Motor Show on the 17-18th April is in full swing. Pieter Conradie, Standard Bank`s Head, Vehicle & Asset Finance, granted us an interview on what the public can expect on the day.
5)  SHELL – Mud, Gravel, Snow, Ice, Rocks. The real challenge is not the outside, but a clean and well lubricated engine. Shell launched their new exiting new range with a new appearance.

Episode 19 - 08 April 2009

1) Panel Beaters: Driving skills in Namibia sometimes force us to support them. In this week`s programme we look at various actions taken at Auto Exec Panel Beaters and how they perform a make-over.  
2) Road Test performed locally – The popular Fiat 500 1.4 Lounge. Exactly 50 years after the launch of the original 500, Fiat is accelerating into the future in celebration of its 2007 European Car of the Year award and people say the Fiat 500 is the most talked-about small car on the planet!
3) Road Test performed locally – Isuzu`s KB360LE D/C and KB 300 D-TEQ E/C 
4) Audi Launched the brand new Q5 and the WHEELS ON ONE team was there to film this outstanding event.   
5) Old Wheelers: The annual “Day of the Old Wheeler” grows bigger and better every year, does this mean that we prefer the older cars?
6) Isuzu – General Motors S.A. in conjunction with Auas Motors Windhoek, invited the WHEELS ON ONE team to a scenic drive through the Okapuka trails and we have to share the beautiful green scenery with you.

Episode 18 - 01 April 2009

1) Enduro Racing: Tony Rust Race track hosted the first National event on the Endurance Calendar. Close to fifty riders took on the cool and wet conditions and we see the first ever Junior Enduro Race in Namibia.
2) Road Test performed locally – The sexy Honda Accord 2.4 Tourer, sister of the 2009 South African Car Of The Year, and like the sedan, the Tourer is a pleasure to drive.
3) Road Test performed locally – Fiat Bravo 1.4 T-Jet Dynamic
4) Interview with Hedley Tavenor of BMW Motorad
5) Road Test performed locally – BMW K1300 S - This is our first Superbike test, you`ll love it.

Episode 17 - 25 March 2009

1) Drag Racing: The Okahandja Air strip played host to the first ever National drag race organized by the Okahandja Motor Club under the auspices of the Namibia Motor Sport Federation. A total of 37 cars and 10 bikes raced against each other in order to be crowned top racer on the day.
2) On Saturday, the 14th March, M&Z Motors launched the Mercedes Benz C180K Blue Efficiency. Sales Executive Fabian Hamunyela, spoke to WHEELS ON ONE regarding the Blue Efficiency and what it is about.

6) 4X4 Of-road Academy: In last week`s programme we showed you how you can change a wheel without using a jack. Tonight Frans Theron and Richard Hoff takes the students all the way up to the Lounge and we are stunned by the view.

Episode 16 - 18 March 2009

1) The Red Desert - 10km from  Port Edward, consists of areas of grassland, forest, wetland and eroded red sands, the cliff face overlooking the Umtamvuna River and the mangrove community below. Aesthetically the area gives superb views over the Umtamvuna Gorge and Estuary with the stark contrast of the Red Desert. The Rat Race team filmed this beautiful footage.
2)  The second Gymkhana Motor Sport event at the Tony Rust racetrack came alive when riders and drivers tested their skills on a tight-coned layout track. In the Gymkhana car section the competition was tough with a number of entrants making their debut, Sean Niewoud in a Hyundai Accent, Richard Slamet in a Jeep Cherokee and Ahmed Hassan in a Subaru Imprezza STi....

6) Frans Theron, owner of 4X4 Of-road Academy, believes that training is about making better and safer drivers. The WHEELS ON ONE team was invited to attend a practical session driving to the top of the very popular “Thesehands Lounge” overlooking Windhoek and the Khomas Hochland. Thesehands Lounge, at 2046m above sea level and 500m above Windhoek, is just south of Olympia and Kleine Kuppe suburbs.

Episode 15 - 11 March 2009

1)  LA Sport 4WD Megastores is a leader in the 4x4 industry in SA and Namibia. Recently they performed a Suspension Makeover on a Hummer H2.
2)  West coast  Vasbyt action - We`ve had many requests to repeat  the Vasbyt that was aired on SuperScore and in episode 15 we bring you the second leg of this very popular event and once again Nico Smit, brings us the commentary.
3) Road Test performed locally –  Hyundai H100 Bakkie, perfect for moving furniture, etc.

5) Road Test performed locally – Kia Sorento  2.5 CRDI Auto – a pleasure driving it in the sand and dunes.The African Outdoor Group has a superb venue, located in the foothills of the Magaliesberg, just 45 minutes’ drive from Sandton and Pretoria. The RAT RACE Team filmed Daniel Barbosa from the African Outdoor Group while giving Actor/Presenter, Theunis Nel, training and some valuable tips.

1)  During October 2008 Land Rover Windhoek invited some guests, businesses, Banks and the Wheels on One team to explore the Freelander 2 in off-road conditions at Okapuka Ranch. Tonight we bring you the second and last leg and some interviews.

>>  The 4x4 Utility Quad Challenge is a competition for quad riders with a 4x2 or 4x4 and presented by Polokwane and Mokopane Polaris quad dealers, the 4x4 Utility Quad Challenge promises to be a tough challenge for man and machine  tackling the course set out at The Ranch outside Polokwane.
